TKPOA committees are composed of volunteer property owners who provide expertise and oversight in key areas of community management.

Architectural Control Committee

ACC

Reviews and approves all construction, renovation, and landscaping plans submitted by property owners. Ensures compliance with community design standards, CC&Rs, and Best Management Practices (BMPs). All primary residence construction plans requiring City approval must be reviewed by the ACC.

Meetings: Monthly, typically the 2nd Tuesday

Responsibilities

  • Review and approve construction/renovation plans
  • Ensure compliance with community design standards
  • Verify BMP inclusion in construction plans
  • Maintain architectural consistency throughout the community

Finance Committee

FC

Oversees the financial health of the TKPOA, reviews annual budgets, audits, and financial statements, and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors. Works closely with the Accounting Department and the Board to ensure fiscal responsibility.

Meetings: Monthly, typically the 1st Wednesday

Responsibilities

  • Review annual budget proposals
  • Oversee financial audits and reporting
  • Make financial recommendations to the Board
  • Monitor reserve fund adequacy

Waterways Committee

WC

Focuses on the health, safety, and management of the Tahoe Keys waterways and lagoons. Oversees aquatic invasive species management efforts, water quality monitoring, and boating safety. Works closely with the Water Quality Department and external partners like TRPA.

Meetings: Monthly, typically the 3rd Thursday

Responsibilities

  • Oversee aquatic invasive species management
  • Monitor lagoon and waterway health
  • Boating safety and channel management
  • Coordinate with TRPA and regulatory agencies
